  • Investment banking. We frequently advise employees in the banking industry on negotiation of contractual and bonus arrangements and compromise agreements on redundancy and other termination situations.  We also have expertise in advising on FCA-related disciplinary and remuneration code issues.
  • Insurance.  We have considerable experience of advising senior employees in the insurance sector on contracts of employment, compromise agreements and restrictive covenant disputes.
  • Management consultancy.  We have advised senior executives in this sector on some high profile team moves, including restrictive covenant litigation relating to the recruitment by one global consultancy firm’s London practice of a senior team of strategic consultants from a competitor.
  • Technology.  We have advised chief executive officers and other board director of listed technology companies on contractual and severance negotiations.
  • Restaurants.  We have advised board directors of leading London restaurant chains on contractual and severance negotiations.
  • Publishing and journalism.  We have advised board directors of publishing companies, magazine editors and newspaper executives on severance negotiations and restrictive covenant issues.
  • Television.  We have advised numerous television executives on new contractual, bonus and incentivisation arrangements, and also severance terms and compromise agreements, both in connection with the UK’s main terrestrial television companies and independent television production companies. We have also advised management teams on the employment aspects of management buy-ins and management buy-outs in the independent television production company sector.
  • Film.  We have advised board directors and other senior employees of independent film production and distribution companies on contracts of employment, bonus arrangements and compromise agreements.
  • Market research/polling, including advice to a chief financial officer of a listed plc on contractual and bonus terms.
  • Automotive and car hire.  We have advised board directors of listed companies and other leading companies in the car and car hire industry on contractual and severance negotiations.
